MailerLite vs Omnisend (2026): The Rate Omnisend Doesn’t Print

Both bill on contacts stored, so these figures line up without conversion. At 500 contacts MailerLite Comfort is $12/month and Omnisend Standard is $16/month ongoing — but Omnisend never states that $16 anywhere. Its page advertises $11.20, which is a three-month promotional rate.

Both platforms bill on contacts, so the 250–500 tier is directly comparable. Read 8 August 2026 in USD. Omnisend’s ongoing rate is derived arithmetically from its published three-month total, which is stated in the pricing section below. Neither product was used; no rating is given.

The Short Version

MailerLite is the cheaper general-purpose tool. Omnisend is the one built for a store — email, SMS and web push treated as one product rather than add-ons. Detail in our MailerLite review and Omnisend review.

Identical contact caps, five times the sending on MailerLite. If you email a small list regularly, that difference decides it before any paid tier comes into play.

Omnisend’s ongoing rate is recoverable rather than published: the page shows an undiscounted three-month total of $48.00, and $48.00 ÷ 3 = $16.00. Pro works out at $177.00 ÷ 3 = $59.00. Budget against those, not the displayed figures, which expire after three months.

The Number That Actually Decides It

Whether you sell through a store. If you do, Omnisend’s bundled SMS and web push, its ecommerce triggers and its free five-day migration are worth the $4/month difference several times over. If you do not, you are paying a third more for channels you will not use, and MailerLite also gives you landing pages and a website builder that Omnisend does not.

Verdict

Ecommerce: Omnisend. Everything else: MailerLite, on both price and breadth. The one caveat is switching cost — Omnisend rebuilds your lists, flows, segments and templates for free, and MailerLite explicitly will not help at all.
