This policy explains what data RightToolHQ collects when you visit righttoolhq.com, why, and what choices you have. It describes what this site actually does — not a generic template.

What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. It sets cookies and collects your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, and referring site. Google processes this data on our behalf; their handling is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Affiliate click tracking
When you click an affiliate link, we set a first-party cookie named rtq_ref that records which page sent you. It lasts 30 days, is marked HttpOnly and Secure, and cannot be read by JavaScript or by other sites. Its only purpose is to attribute a commission to the correct page. It does not identify you, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a third party’s website, which will apply its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. We have no control over that and encourage you to read the destination site’s policy.
Security and hosting
Our security plugin (Wordfence) records IP addresses and request details to block malicious traffic and brute-force login attempts. Our host (Hostinger) keeps standard server access logs. Both are used only to keep the site running and secure.
What we don’t collect
As of the date at the top of this page:
- We do not sell or rent personal data. This is a standing commitment, not a snapshot — it will not change without this page changing first.
- We do not run advertising networks or behavioural ad tracking.
- Reading anything here requires no account, and reader registration is closed.
- We do not operate a newsletter, so we hold no mailing list.
- Commenting is closed on every published page, so we collect no commenter names, emails, or IP addresses.
If we later add something that collects personal data — a newsletter signup, a contact form, comments, or gated downloads — we will update this page and its date before that feature goes live, and describe what it collects.
How long we keep it
The affiliate attribution cookie expires after 30 days. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting. Security and server logs are kept on a short rolling basis by the respective services.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the affiliate cookie doesn’t restrict anything you can read here. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on.
Depending on where you live — including under the UK/EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act — you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Email partners@righttoolhq.com and we’ll respond.
Children
This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
