Brevo vs Omnisend (2026): Sends or Contacts, and Where the Crossover Is

Brevo charges for emails sent and stores unlimited contacts. Omnisend charges for contacts stored and meters your sending. At a 500-contact list they are $9 and $16 a month — but the gap widens fast in one direction and closes in the other depending on how often you mail.

Brevo bills on sends and Omnisend on contacts, so the workloads below are matched rather than the plans. Figures read 8 August 2026 in USD. No account was opened on either platform, and this page names no overall winner.

The Short Version

These two price on opposite axes, so a headline comparison is close to meaningless. What matters is the ratio of sends to contacts. See our Brevo review and Omnisend review.

Free Plans Compared

Brevo FreeOmnisend Free

Brevo’s free tier stores any number of contacts, which no other platform in this library does. The catch is the daily ceiling: 300 a day cannot be pooled, so a 5,000-contact list cannot be mailed in one go on the free plan at all.

Worth noting on transparency: Brevo is the only platform in this library whose pricing page opens on the real monthly rate. Omnisend opens on a three-month prepay promotion, and its ongoing rate has to be derived from the undiscounted total.

The Number That Actually Decides It

Sends divided by contacts. Mail your list less than about ten times a month and Brevo is cheaper, and the advantage grows with list size because Brevo does not charge for storage at all. Mail daily and Omnisend’s contact-based pricing becomes the better deal, since your bill stops moving as volume rises.

Verdict

Large lists mailed occasionally: Brevo, decisively. A store mailing frequently with SMS and web push in the mix: Omnisend. Brevo also wins on entry price at $9, but note that automation only starts on its $18 Standard tier, where Omnisend includes it from Standard.
