Brevo prices on emails sent rather than contacts stored — a structural difference from MailerLite and Mailchimp. Its free plan allows 300 emails per day with no credit card required. Paid plans start at $9/month (Starter), $18/month (Standard) and $499/month (Professional), captured from Brevo’s own pricing page in USD on 4 August 2026.

The Billing Model Is the Story
Most email platforms charge by how many contacts you store. Brevo charges by how many emails you send. That single difference decides whether it is cheap or expensive for you, and it is the thing worth understanding before comparing headline prices.
If you hold a large list and mail it rarely, sending-based pricing works in your favour — you are not paying monthly rent on dormant contacts. If you hold a small list and mail it constantly, contact-based pricing on a competitor may cost less.
This is the inverse of the trade-off in our MailerLite vs Mailchimp comparison, where both vendors bill on list size and the free tiers differ mainly on send allowance.
Brevo Pricing
Figures below are from Brevo’s pricing page in the USD view, captured 4 August 2026. Yearly billing is listed at 10% off the monthly rate.
Brevo’s page states the Free plan allows sending up to 300 emails per day once an account is approved for sending, with no credit card required to start.
One cost worth noting on the entry tier: removing the “Sent with Brevo” footer is listed as a $10.80/month add-on rather than being included. On Starter at $9/month, unbranded email therefore roughly doubles the effective price.
What Each Tier Adds
Starter ($9/month, or $8.08/month billed yearly) — from 5,000 emails per month. Email and SMS sending, drag-and-drop editor, templates, AI content generator, advanced segmentation, forms, basic reporting, and email support in six languages.
Standard ($18/month, or $16.17/month billed yearly) — Brevo marks this “Most Popular.” Adds marketing automation with an unlimited number of multi-step workflows, A/B testing, advanced email reporting, click heatmaps with geography and device breakdowns, and AI send-time optimisation.
Professional ($499/month, or $449.08/month billed yearly) — from 150,000 emails per month. Adds WhatsApp, popups, mobile and web push, 10 user seats, and contact scoring.
Enterprise — custom pricing, aimed at companies with 1M+ contacts needing multi-account management and custom data objects.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly (−10%) | Included volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 300 emails/day |

| Standard | $18 | $16.17/mo | Adds automation, A/B testing |
| Professional | $499 | $449.08/mo | From 150,000 emails/mo, 10 seats |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 1M+ contacts, multi-account |
The Sendinblue Rebrand
Brevo was called Sendinblue until a rebrand in 2023. The product, accounts and pricing structure carried over; only the name and domain changed. A large number of comparison articles and directory listings still use the old name, which is worth knowing when you are searching for reviews or documentation — results referring to Sendinblue are describing the same platform.
Who Brevo Suits
Large lists mailed occasionally. Sending-based billing means dormant contacts cost nothing. A 50,000-contact list emailed monthly is priced on the sends, not the storage.
Anyone needing SMS or WhatsApp alongside email. SMS is available from Starter, and Professional adds WhatsApp, popups and push. Competitors often treat these as separate products.
Teams wanting automation without a steep jump. Unlimited multi-step workflows appear at Standard ($18/month), not at an enterprise tier.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
Anyone sending high volume on a tight budget. A daily cap of 300 emails on Free is restrictive for daily senders, and volume-based pricing scales with exactly the thing you plan to do more of.
Anyone who needs unbranded email cheaply. The $10.80/month footer-removal add-on costs more than the Starter plan it attaches to. By comparison, our MailerLite review notes branding removal is included on its paid tiers.
Buyers comparing on headline price alone. $9/month looks competitive against Mailchimp Essentials at $8.02 and MailerLite Comfort at $12 — but those are contact-based and Brevo’s is send-based, so the comparison only means something once you know your own sending pattern.

Brevo FAQ
Is Brevo free?
Yes. Brevo’s pricing page states that once an account is approved for sending, the Free plan allows up to 300 emails per day, with no credit card required to sign up.
How much does Brevo cost per month?
Per Brevo’s USD pricing captured 4 August 2026: Starter is $9/month, Standard is $18/month, and Professional is $499/month. Yearly billing is listed at 10% off, bringing those to $8.08, $16.17 and $449.08 per month respectively. Enterprise is custom-priced.
Does Brevo charge by contacts or by emails sent?
By emails sent. This is the main structural difference from platforms like Mailchimp and MailerLite, which price on how many contacts you store. Brevo’s Starter tier begins from 5,000 emails per month and Professional from 150,000.
Can you remove Brevo branding from emails?
Not by default on the entry tier. Brevo lists removing the “Sent with Brevo” footer as a separate add-on priced at $10.80 per month, which is more than the $9/month Starter plan it would attach to.
What was Brevo called before?
Sendinblue. The company rebranded to Brevo in 2023, carrying over the same product and accounts. Many older articles and directory listings still refer to it as Sendinblue.
Does Brevo include marketing automation?
Yes, from the Standard plan at $18/month, which Brevo describes as including an unlimited number of automated multi-step workflows, alongside A/B testing and AI send-time optimisation.
Final Verdict
On documented facts: Brevo’s send-based billing is genuinely differentiated, and its free tier — 300 emails/day with no card required — is generous for anyone with a large but infrequently-mailed list. Automation arriving at $18/month rather than an enterprise tier is competitive.
Not covered here: how the editor, automation builder and deliverability actually perform. We haven’t used the product, so we make no claims about it and publish no rating.
Best fit, on paper: someone with a sizeable list who mails periodically, wants SMS or WhatsApp in the same tool, and can either tolerate the Brevo footer or absorb the add-on to remove it.
